Not sure how I feel about these two video clips for "All Your Light (Times Like These)" and "So American" from Portugal. The Man's upcoming album. On the one hand, the songs sound promising, halfway between the psychedelic pop of The Satanic Satanist and darker psychedelic electronics of American Ghetto, both of which I loved. On the other hand, 30 seconds is an annoyingly short clip. I have a feeling I am going to get an email a week with a link to clips for each of their songs. Does this build up your excitement for the album or just make you want to punch their PR person upside the head?
Lucky for me, Portugal. The Man are playing Portland next week and I bet I'll hear the full versions then. It should be a great show. I am excited to see Telekinesis open. Unfortunately, Unknown Mortal Orchestra (ex-Mint Chicks) won't join the tour until California.
