We don't do too much rap or hip hop on this little corner of the web; however, this zesty bit from the preeminent white-boy rapper, Eminem, is interesting from multiple angles -- musically, visually, lyrically firey (but not personally, for me at least). Production intensity and (presumably) casting costs are WAY up on this Joseph Kahn directed video, featuring actor Dominic Monaghan and the ever-lusty Megan Fox as violent, tumultuous sex partners, and the oft-abused Rihanna on chorus vocals. I have listened to some, not all, of the Recovery album and am genuinely impressed with the content. It's not one of those albums you put on before bed or on a lazy Sunday afternoon, unless you like dreaming of fire and domestic violence, but it could cater well to the "get psyched" before hitting the gym crowd. If you're historically not a fan, have a listen, appreciate the lyrical flow and the heavy beat drop, and hear the voice in your head say "that's so real, yo."

OMG, I hate this song. I hate that it's #1 in America. I hate how Rihanna's voice makes me want to bang my head against the wall. I hate that she clearly has the worst taste in men when it comes to even associating with them (Chris Brown... now Eminem?). I hate how Eminem clearly hates women yet kept marrying/trying to kill his last wife!? We get it Rihanna, you're like, edgy. But do we really have to hear about it!? No. That's why I change the radio station every time this one comes on. Sorry, just had to get that out.
Sorry for my little tirade, NT! Your write up was fabulous as per usual, I just dislike Rihanna's music so much and often wonder what her appeal is...
