Lawrence, Kansas? Really?An Oblivians and Gories reunion and it's in Kansas! I hope all Scions are recalled.
Although, with SMMR BMMR and the Slabtown's Bender, Portland already has its fair share of killer garage rock festivals. Still, the Scion Garage Fest has another solid lineup this year and when the fantastic White Wires are the last band on the poster it makes me want to pick up albums by all the bands listed before them that I don't know.
I know and love most of these bands:
The Oblivians, The Gories, The Ravonettes, The Greenhornes, The Ponys, King Khan & The Shrines, Best Coast, Thee Oh Sees, Times New Viking, Hunx & His Punx, Digital Leather, and White Wires.
But who are these guys?
Cloud Nothings, Human Eye, Tyvek, Cola Freaks, The Lamps, Nodzz, Happy Birthday, Gaye Blades, Bad Sports, Sex Beet, Natural Child, Teenager, Rooftop Vigilantes, and Garotas Suecas.
Time to do some research!

Oh man, that sucks dude! Is it a travelling show or something?!
I guess. Scion has turned its back on my fair city. As far as I can tell, they haven't hosted a show here since the fest last year.
Hmm, odd. Sucks you're missing King Khan. Not sure if you've seen them either, but I hear that's one helluva a show... like, crazy.
