The first album of the year that I really liked. The songwriting is pleasant and upbeat and a couple of the songs (Whose Authority, I Like What You Say) stayed in heavy rotation all through January. Lucky may not be challenging enough for some people, but I can enjoy listening to this album in the morning over coffee with my wife.

It took 3 months and a persistent bar patron to make me believe that Nada Surf where worthwhile. This was when "Let Go" came out.. Without Duncan I never would have given them another chance.. not that I hated "Popular" but it just didn't seem like it would come from a band with tons o' substance. I'm also really stoked on the video from this new album that features one of the dudes from "Pete and Pete" getting rad on his fixed gear!
holy crap the song "from now on" is amazing!
